Dear Norton Utilities for Macintosh User: Please read and understand this entirely before proceeding with this update! Before updating your copy of Speed Disk please restart your Macintosh and hold down the shift key during startup. After you have completed the update restart your Macintosh normally. This updater is for installed PPC versions of Speed Disk and is NOT to be used to update versions on startup disks or locked, original installation floppies. This updater will only work with U.S. and international English versions of Norton Utilities for Macintosh 3.5.0 or 3.5.1. The Speed Disk application can be found in: Norton Utilities Folder Norton Tools If you have NUM 3.1, 3.2, 3.5.0 or 3.5.1, an upgrade to 3.5.2 can be purchased from Customer Service at 800-441-7234 and is strongly recommended for any computer running MacOS 7.5.x or greater. What's Fixed in Version 3.5.2 • Non-HFS Formatted Drives/Non-Standard Drives: Speed Disk version 3.5.2 is compatible with HFS or standard formatted drives. Non-HFS or extended formatted drives, including HFS+ formatted drives are treated as remote volumes and now cannot be accessed. HFS+ or extended formatted drives are available in MacOS 8.1 and later. What's Fixed in Version 3.5.1 • Resolves an issue where a volume could be mounted on the desktop via an alias while Speed Disk was optimizing the volume. • Addresses an issue where the arrow keys could be used to select another volume while Speed Disk was optimizing a volume. • Correctly identifies Code Warrior Pro projects under the Software Development optimization profile.
